Spring 2025 SPORTS REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Dear Rock Ridge 7th – 12th Grade Parents and Students:

All sports registrations will be completed electronically .

To register electronically, you will need to create an account if you have not already done so. If you are creating an account for the first time, you will need to have the participant’s sports physical exam date.  A sports physical is good for 3 years and is usually done in 7th and 10th grade.

  • Any student who has not previously participated and who does not have a physical on file is required to have a physical and clearance prior to participation.
  • Set up a sports physical with your child’s doctor as soon as possible because when August comes around, it can be difficult to get a sports physical completed before fall sports start.

If you have any questions, please contact Josh Lamppa or stop in the Activities Office at RRHS.

TRAP TEAM: MESABI EAST/ROCK RIDGE: Head Coach Jon Stordahl

    • Openings for the Spring Trap season are now available. Must be 12 years old and possess a MN DNR Gun Safety Certification completed.
    • Registration MUST be completed by March 23, and if joining the USA Trap Team League, a $45 fee is required. Season will start March 31 at the East Range Sportsman’s and Conservation Club in Aurora, MN at which time team fees will be collected for the season.
    • There is limited space as we cap the League Team at 25 and Beginners at 5. This is due to coaching limits by the League.
    • As always, we shoot Monday afternoons at 4PM till everyone has completed 2 rounds of 25 targets. This is a team sport and everyone is expected to stay till cleanup and equipment put away.
    • The fee for shooting this year is $150 for the League and Beginner $120. This is a reduced fee because of fundraising by the parents group which all participants will be expected to help with. Additional help with fees may be available to qualified families upon request. The fee helps pay for shells and clay targets.
    • There is a limited number of shotguns available but your own is preferred. A 12 or 20 gauge with a modified choke, and depending on student, shooting 50 shells a night makes an autoloader preferable. Must be able to mount shotgun to shoulder without straining.
    • Must be student at one of these schools as League requires it.
