Mesabi East/Rock Ridge Fall High School Trap Season 2024

Fall is here and we are about to start the Fall season for trap. This event is held Monday afternoons starting at 4 PM until everyone has completed their two rounds of shooting, cleanup, and equipment put away. Even though everyone shoots individually, this is a TEAM sport and everyone is encouraged to assist each other and the team.

There is limited space due to coaching staff and help. Parents are encouraged to assist with cleanup and scoring if needed. (They are not allowed on the line to talk to their child or others.)
Athlete must have their Gun Safety completed to participate as we are teaching trap – safety should be second nature already and lack of it will cause an athlete to be asked to leave.
Season begins Sept. 16 and goes for 6 weeks ending Oct. 29. We shoot rain or snow. The only time we would cancel is if it is wet and cold. Nobody needs to get sick and will pick another day to shoot.

Cost is down due to fundraising by our parents group. For 6 weeks, shooting two rounds per time, the cost will be $111 due on the first day of practice. Cash or checks (made out to ERS&CC) will be accepted.

If interested in joining the Minnesota State High School Trap League, you must register before Sept. 9 with a cost of $40 paid to the League. This reserves your spot if opening available for the spring season.
